Founder's
Profile
Ishita M Rahman founded nLight Design as an interior design consultancy in 2018 with the vision to create experiential space design. Initiating it’s journey with product design in 2017, nLight Design ensures attention to detail for the interior clients with tailor-made products.
Ms. Rahman is an architect based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and graduated from BRAC University. After working in leading Dhaka based architectural firms and with country’s prominent architects, she started her practice. Since childhood she has won several international awards for art from Ministry of Culture of Turkey, Shankar (India) and Japan along with an A in Art and Design in her O level examinations. Her environmental ethos has led her to achieve a diploma in Planning and Management of Urban Green Space from Helsinki University, Finland. Currently, she serves as Team Leader for sustainability services for buildings/industries at a renowned environmental management consultancy in Dhaka. Previously she served as Country Coordinator (Bangladesh) for the globally functioning INGO 10:10 for 4 years designing campaign strategies for climate change awareness-building across sectors. Apart from design, she has been involved in multiple organizations and magazines as a writer and editor since 2007.
